When do your backups happen?
Backupify backs up each of your authenticated services either weekly or daily, based on your subscription plan. The exact time of backup will vary by user — we spread our archive jobs out so as not to overtax any single service by requesting too much data all at once.
How does the system work?
Sign up for your Backupify account, then select which of your online services you wish to back up. Those services will then ask you to authenticate Backupify and give us access to your archives. Using the public API for each service, we’ll copy your online data to our Amazon S3 system. From there you can use your Backupify login to browse your archives and download any data you wish.
How often does it happen?
Backupify performs daily or weekly backups of your online data, based on your subscription plan, though for larger accounts or accounts with large single data files it may take an 48-72 hours to get your initial backup set up. This delay is required by the services being backed up; they limit the amount of data that can be extracted in any single download session.
