Free/Busy Sync
Free/Busy Sync allows users to view free/busy calendar information for Microsoft Exchange and Google Apps users on their domain. With the ability to see when other users are free, meeting and event planning is made easier.
LTech can integrate Google Calendar Connectors with Microsoft Exchange to check calendars on a scheduled interval, pulling down all free/busy data. Google Apps users can check the availability of Microsoft Exchange users from within their Google Calendar, while Microsoft Exchange users can see free/busy data for Google Apps users from their Outlook Calendar.
How it works
The Google Calendar Connector Sync Service scans user calendars every fifteen minutes by default to see if any events have been added or information has changed. When new free/busy data is present, the service populates it in Microsoft Exchange. When checking a user's availability, the calendar sends a request to the web service for the user's free/busy data. The data is returned and displayed on the screen in color-coded blocks.
